5th Annual Highland Games at Amulet Vineyard
A family focused event that offers something for everyone with traditional Scottish games, pipe bands, Celtic sword fighting, haggis hurling, and activities for the children.
A wide selection of the region's best food, boutique wine and cider.
Professional strongmen compete for the title of "Southern Highlander" massed pipe band parade and the local police and CFA face off in the "Guns and Hoses" challenge.
Visitors are encouraged to dress for the occasion and don their kilts and family tartan with prizes awarded for the best dressed on the day.

Significant Sea Journeys from the Australian Story
Australia’s isolation form the rest of the world has meant that sea journeys have played a major role in the Australian Story. From the first explorers, through convicts, immigrants to the current asylum seekers, many have made the journey chasing dreams……
In November 2013 a group of 60 Carey Middle School students will be touring an original musical theatre piece ‘Sea Journeys’ to the Beechworth area. Although musical performance will be at the centre of the show, words, song and movement will link the elements to build a meaningful historically based dramatic piece. Students play multiple roles as actors and soloists accompanied by a variety of instrumental ensembles.
Every year Carey Middle School produces an original 60 minute program which is suitable for all age groups and is available at no cost for community performances.
