GOLDEN HORSESHOE FESTIVAL 2012
Beechworth’s biggest annual event, the Golden Horseshoes Festival is again set to attract bumper crowds this Easter long weekend with a packed program of events in store.
The Grand Parade on Easter Saturday afternoon remains a crowd favourite, with dozens of weird and wonderful floats competing for the annual Beechworth Bakery Perpetual parade Trophy. There are various food, art and craft markets throughout the town, exhibitions, carnival rides, live music, buskers and dancing stage. On Sunday the Easter egg hunt for the children at the Chinese Gardens, Motorcycle display on the main street, along with a Family Bike Ride on the Rail Trail and Mountain Bike event at Wallace Park. The beautiful historic streetscapes of Beechworth is the perfect venue for this popular annual festival.

Each entry must be executed in fabric and/or fibre and belong to one of the following categories.
The fourth annual "Highland Games at Amulet" is shaping up to be the best yet. Held on Sunday 19th August at the Vineyard, it's the perfect setting for this celebration of Scottish heritage. This is a family focused event that offers something for every member of the family with traditional Scottish games, pipe bands, traditional sword fighting displays, activities for the children and boutique wine and cider that his made on site.
The local police and CFA face off in the "Guns and Hoses" charity tug-of-war, with proceeds going to the Everton CFA. The Blue Ribbon Foundation will also be in attendance, joined by Constable T Bear.
10.30am – 5pm.
A rain, hail or shine event that's fully catered (no BYO), we look forward to welcoming you to the games.
