Driving to Beechworth is a comfortable 3 hours north of Melbourne, 4.5 hours south of Canberra and 7 hours from Sydney. It is accessed via Melbourne to Sydneys major highway the Hume Freeway and then turning off at Wangaratta (South) or Wodonga (North) for the last 25-30 minute leg.
Major train and coach services operate from Sydney & Melbourne with bus connections through to Beechworth. Regular domestic flights operate into Albury airport offering hire car, taxi and bus services.

In July 2011, Best Western Beechworth Motor Inn was nominated for it`s third International Award of Excellence in Quality and Standards by Best Western Hotels Australasia for the completion in March of it`s latest refurbished of the motel rooms. After the motels annual audit by Best Western Hotels the motel received a perfect score in quality and standards, which is the second time a motel has received such a result.
