Thousands of visitors and holidaymakers descended on Beechworth during the Easter long weekend to enjoy the 2009 Golden Horseshoes Festival.

The shoeing of the horse with real gold shoes and the Grand Parade again proved crowd favourites. This year’s winner of the Beechworth Bakery Perpetual Trophy for Best Float was won by Beechworth Ghost Tours.
